4 days of Serial Blogging

4 days, indoors, 30 hours and the exception of toilet breaks!!That is how long I have spent video-blogging,  changing and making this blog more Jiggy.  To the point that I neither brushed, washed or cleaned my messy house. I hate to admit it but Wow!! My personal obsession with blogging has given me an amazing sense of focus but officially destabilize my equilibrium. All in all, I need to get my house in order or  I seriously will start to look like a hermit very soon.

I can’t believe how much effort and time is needed for such a simple medium as blogging. Still I feel that is not enough. On most of those days I proceeded by; following blogging tips, twittering, finding forums of interest, emailing , designing my layout, learning and understanding wordpress.com.

Some very useful blogging websites I have discovered – :  http://www.howtomakemyblog.com/traffic/blog-traffic-how-i-went-from-0-to-700000-visitors/

Another website I followed this week was Steve Roy’s:

http://www.endingthegrind.com/

“One man’s journey to quit is job, succeed online and live with a passion.” This description should say it all.  Steve Roy has some very valuable information to pass on to anyone that is ready to make that transformation from a 9-5. I recently read his article on how he manage to get a phone interview with Seth Godin.  He used a great dose of courage ,accompanied by a great sense of timing to achieve results. In the  end he was quiet surprised by the results of his determination.

I’m quiet eager and thirsty for that kind of determination and results.

My goal over the next 5 week is to :

  • Find genuine readers
  • use consistent methods of commenting and increase by 20-50 comments
  • Bridge my relationship over the net, not only with people that I know but with people I aspire.
  • Find people or other bloggers I can collaborate with.
  • Find 5 stories of people who have lost their jobs through Redundancy, being laid-off and interested in sharing.
  • Increase my video-blogging by 4
  • Get involve in the many storytelling events available in London and do at least 2-3 stage performances. Video the performances
  • Finish the overall layout of the blog including Lay-out and Domain name
  • finally promote the blog through word of mouth on and off-line

I truly believe their are people out there, who very much like me, had no idea what they would do once their job is over, and I pray that they would find me as much as I am looking for them.

If you are going through a redundancy? Are being laid-off? Have been through one? Know what to do with yourself? You’re simply trying to figure your next step? please get in touch and share your story with me.
