Share your story

Want to share your career transition story? Keep reading!!

If you haven’t noticed yet, we are on a mission. No, not to “heal the world and make it a better place”. We want to inspire others making career transitions, work-hunters in london. With so much, low morale and uncertainty, it is time to colour this blog with real stories – your story.

The one thing that really helped me to keep going in my lowest time was not just updating my profile, LinkedIn, Twitter and CV but hearing other people’s experience.  I have this idea that more and more people will have the guts to talk about the elephant in the room. i.e: – jobs, career transition, entrepreneurship, the whole lot.

Talking actually helps to deal with it all. It also helps to build community and makes you realise you are not alone.

Can you share a story with us about a previous or a recent career transition?

Could you  share it in front of an audience? Or on our site?

  • Have you lost your job?
  • Were you fired?
  • Voluntarily walked out ?
  • Started a  career?
  • Started a business?
  • Travelled
  • pursuing a hobby
  • Or just don’t know where to start?

Whatever career dilemma you might have been you really can help to change somebody’s perception about their career future and employment. There is a growing community of people online and offline who want to hear these stories and be connected. Help us to make it happen.

Guideline for the story

So you have a career transition story!? Perfect. We would love to feature it. Simply follow the quick 5-steps below and send it  to us.

  1. Keep it short and sweet. 500 words is fantastic.
  2. Be honest. Career transitions are emotional. What did you go through?
  3. Tell us what you’re up to now.
  4. Is there a way readers can keep in touch with you?
  5. There’s no step-5, never liked long instruction manuals!

So if you or someone you know has a great story to share, send us your story via our contact form, send us an e-mail [email protected], or even send us a personal video of yourself sharing your story (simply link to a YouTube video).

Note – All stories may or may not be used on our main blog and in other channels of communication e.g. podcasts. You give us the right to re-publish any part of your story, anywhere at anytime. Sorry for the formality, just has to be done!
