Please tell me you’ve heard of Ladies Who Latte? What do you mean you haven’t? Outrageous! It is the most sociable and uplifting networking event I’ve been to so far.
After getting a couple of knock backs this week .i.e. making contact with people and companies who never return my calls, emails, messages and another business adviser that was full of …………. I resist the urge to say it. I will not be violent. Restrain yourself Mathy!
Well, I had the pleasure of attending yet another Ladies Who Latte event. A little nervous and little under-dressed you could say. I made it in one piece through the groggy undecided English weather and strolled in after I locked my bike to the nearest visible post outside the Urban Orient cafe, in Crystal Palace.
The first thing I saw from the corner of my eye was this.
Julie‘ Chic Cupcake Company http://www.chic-cupcakes.co.uk/
She loves baking so much that she launched herself into cupcake with a twist. These little babies can be customized with a little hint of alcohol but also just regular family friendly. Yes I know, I love food.
Then I spoke to Claudia Crawley – a life coach that works with women in senior roles in the public sector. http://winningpathwayscoaching.com/welcometowpc/ . She had previous experience of loosing her job and her business has been running for 18 months. She had the most gorgeous colorful dress.
Lavinia Osbourne – the organiser, introduced the Ladies Who Latte and the updates. She also has a fantastic event in September called http://butterflywealthcreation.com/. Teaching people how to make money work for you.
We also had Jill Basford who is a consultant for http://www.jomagdalena.net/jillbasford. I guarantee you that if you see this jewellery, you’ll be gob-smacked.
Their were more fabulous women but I will let you find out for yourself why don’t you come to the next one.

Okay a little history
10 years ago Sharon Connolly, a Computer trainer/ Programmer/Image Consultant decided she wanted a more “social” career and flexibility to work around her family. 30 e-mails later the Laddies began to Latte.
More than a Latte
I truly believe that this group of women are phenomenal. I’m not biased just a fan. But seriously, when every other business adviser I speak to seems to give me absolutely junk advice, I can’t help but like these women. There’s a chance to introduce yourself, advice, connection, support, friendship, contacts and business leads. It’s great for mum’s but great for all women big or small. There’s no business to small for Ladies who latte.

What the Ladies said about the riots
I know I told myself I would not write anything about the Crazy Riots in London but I can’t help it, it’s literally close to home as I am a Croydon girl. I will mention the positive action we came up with.
“My belief is most young people are good-natured, love learning and want opportunities to add value. Many of them feel disillusioned about the future.”Helena Holrick
http://waystowonder.com/ Helene also talked about her interest in speaking to students in schools about business and entrepreneurship.
